As Editor, I spend a chunk of my day trawling the 'net for the latest pet news; today I ended up with a very strange mix of things to think about!
The first was working dogs. Yet another friend of mine asked me what happens to dogs at Rehoming Centres that don't make suitable pets. A lot of people now know about the Sponsor A Dog scheme, which is a very important part of what we do. But fewer seem to consider the option of training a dog to go into work with the prison service, Armed Forces or police. I took a look at what kind of qualities make a great working dog and was surprised myself as some of what I discovered.
