Underdogs
This week the Government revealed a £4m initiative to send 'Super Nannies' out into communities to help improve parenting skills. This will hopefully lead to a reduction in anti-social behaviour demonstrated by some young people in our society. A friend was telling me, on our dog walk this morning, about a programme she watched this week on Channel 4 called 'Underdogs'. She raved about it, and, apparently it showed that a dog could do the job of a 'Super Nanny' (and not a particularly well-behaved dog at that). Young people with a variety of behavioural problems were matched with a dog with similar problems (from the Dogs Trust). Training and caring for the dog over several weeks led to an amazing transformation in both the teenagers and the dogs. If you saw the programme I would love to hear more about it.
